Custom Machining & Assembly

SMC provides custom machining and assembly services for various metal, plastic, wood, and exotic materials of various sizes and shapes. The processes we offer include milling, grinding, turning, boring, drilling, pressing, polishing, flame spraying, etc.

The completed projects have included tool and dies, R&D devices, specialty tools, precision parts, solid and hollow shafts, trunnions, and bearings. Applications have included equipment manufacturing, mining, petrochemical, cement, foundries, and various other specialized plants.

SMC is capable of machining close tolerance parts that can vary in sizes up to 72-inches long and 60-inches high.

Electrical and Instrument Panels

SMC offers component selection, manufacturing, programming, and testing dervices for:

• High and low voltage electrical panels.
• Control panels with PLC's, Variable Speed Drives (VSD/VFD), Harmonic Filters, etc.
• High voltage junction boxes.
• Transformer, VSD and/or Switchgear skids for on & off shore, arctic, desert, and equatorial applications.

Structural Steel

SMC offers complete package of design, detailed drafting, fabrication, surface preparation, and painting or galvanizing services for:

• Various grades of light and heavy structural steel
• Aluminum or stainless steel strucures
• Platforms, ladders, stairs and walkways
• Hoppers, silos, ducts and chutes for material handling
• Grinding booths, dust collection stations, and work benches
• Railcar loading/unloading platforms
• Support structures for vessels, tanks, silos, etc.
• Process skids complete with grating, handrails, safety gates, etc.

Cement and Gypsum

SMC has built various components for cement and gypsum plants including waste wallboard shredders, closed and open aeroslides, ducts, silo bin bottoms, large feed hoppers, dust collection hoppers and chutes, support structures for tanks and hoppers, carrying stations, thrust rollers, and trunnion assemblies. Among a variety of repair projects, SMC has repaired induced draft fans, replaced exchanger components, and relined pumps.

Custom ESP Equipment

In October 2001, Pioneer Industrial Services integrated their major product lines with Service and Manufacturing Corporation.  This business decision was formulated to ensure the availability of Pioneer's products, parts, and services to the electrical submersible pump (ESP) industry with the same or better quality and cost.   

We have custom designed and manufactured each project from basic specifications provided by the customer.  We have supplied a variety of equipment specifically designed for the oil field and related industries.  All of these items are designed, built, and tested to meet operating conditions around the globe, including deserts, the arctic, and rain forests.
